Emergency Medical Technology - EMT

The Emergency Medical Technology program at Cuyahoga Community College is designed for individuals who are looking for a career that involves helping others, particularly those seeking careers as paramedics or firefighters.  The program is offered on several levels, including two levels of certification, as well as the Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree.

The program offers a real-world curricular approach blending technical medical knowledge and skills with the ability to assess a situation quickly and take corrective action.  Students in this program benefit from technologically advanced training equipment and a student-to-teacher ratio of 10:1 in labs, as well as field experiences to ensure that they will be effective, efficient EMT professionals from their first day on the job.

The EMT-Basic and Paramedic programs are offered at any of the three Tri-C campuses, as well as off campus locations.  All of the programs are offered day and evenings, and some are available on weekends.  The EMT program is accredited by the State of Ohio Division of Emergency Medical Service.  For more information please visit us online or contact Daniel Beil at (216)987-4449.
