1098T Tax Form

Colleges and universities are required under Internal Revenue Code Section 6050S to issue the Form 1098-T for the purpose of determining a tax payer’s eligibility for various tax credits and/or deductions. The form is informational only

Receive your 1098-T electronically

Give your consent by January 11th to receive your 1098-T Tax form electronically by the end of January 2019. If you give your consent AFTER January 11th, you will receive your 1098-T Tax form electronically for the subsequent tax years. If you have already given your consent previously, please disregard this communication.

  • Follow the step-by-step instructions on the web form.
  • Check the box and click submit.

If you don’t sign up to receive your 1098T electronically, it will be mailed to you by January 31.

Please note that starting 2018 your 1098T will report the amount paid during the year up to the qualified tuition and related expenses in Box 1. For additional information go to https://www.tri-c.edu/paying-for-college/documents/1098-t-letter.pdf.
