Importance of keeping your Major up to date

An accurate major will provide appropriate direction from college offices and academic counselors when assisting you with course selection, graduation goals and career choices. When your major is correct on your student record you can run a true Degree Audit Report (DARS) showing you exactly what requirements you have and what you still need to complete your degree.

If you are not sure of your degree interest or are just taking classes for personal interest and will be applying for Financial Assistance, the college recommends you select the major of Associate of Arts (S100).  The major of personal interest does not qualify for financial assistance.

To ensure your student record is up to date, reminders will be generated every 90 days.
